Apple's newest 9.7-inch iPad goes on a rare sale on Amazon for a limited time
While it remains unclear if Apple is still planning to release that long-rumored new iPad Pro generation with Face ID and razor-thin bezels by the end of the year, the non-Pro 9.7-incher will naturally have to wait for its next upgrade until spring (at the earliest).

Formally unveiled more than six months ago, the sixth-generation iPad comes with Apple Pencil support, a very powerful processor, the same winning build quality we’ve come to expect from the world’s most popular tablet family, and stellar battery life.

All of that has made the 9.7-inch iOS slate a truly amazing bargain at a starting price of $329, but this excellent bang for buck also means discounts have been few and far between. Because this is still a relatively new device, we haven’t even seen the 2018 iPad sold in refurbished condition to maximize your savings.

For an extremely limited time, that changes today thanks to Amazon and third-party seller BuySpry. If you hurry, you can get the “iPad early 2018” variant from the former e-commerce platform as shipped and sold by the latter company starting at a measly $289.99.

Your 290 bucks will buy you a Wi-Fi-only certified refurbished unit with 32GB storage space, while 128 gig configurations are available in exchange for $379.99 a pop. Amazon is listing these prices as marked down from $430 and $500 respectively, which is not entirely true.

But $40 and $50 discounts are definitely better than nothing, especially when you can choose your favorite color from space gray, silver, and gold options. Tested and certified to “look and work like new”, the 9.7-inch iPads on special sale as part of this Amazon “deal of the day” come with 90-day warranties, all “relevant accessories”, and “generic” boxes.

Obviously, the Apple Pencil is sold separately, fetching as little as $85 from Apple’s official certified refurbished e-store.

Last but not least, if you’re interested in a discontinued iPad mini 3, Amazon and BuySpry are selling certified refurbished 128GB units in gold for $289.99 today only as well. Of course, you can get a new iPad mini 4 at just $10 more from retailers like Best Buy, so this one doesn’t sound like a great deal.
