Here's how you can save $100 on the new Apple iPad Air (2019) and iPad mini (2019) at Verizon
Even though it was just yesterday that Apple unveiled the iPad Air (2019) and the iPad mini (2019), pre-orders start tomorrow for both tablets at Verizon, and the new tablets will launch on March 26th. More importantly,  Big Red is willing to chop off $100 on the cellular versions of the slates as long as you sign your name on a two-year contract.

The Apple iPad Air (2019) carries a 10.5-inch LCD display and a 1668 x 2224 resolution. It is powered by the same A12 Bionic chipset that is employed on the 2018 iPhones and carries an 8MP camera on back (with an aperture of f/2.4) and a 7MP front-facing FaceTime camera. The cellular version of the tablet features 9 hours of battery life. The iPad mini (2019) has the same specs except for the smaller 7.9-inch LCD display and its 1536 x 2048 resolution. Because of the smaller size of the screen, the latter has a pixel density of 324ppi compared to the 265ppi on the former.

The 64GB cellular version of the iPad Air (2019) is normally $629.99 or $26.24 a month over 24 months. But if you sign a two-year contract, that price drops to $529.99. The 256GB variant is $779.99 or 24 monthly payments of $32.49. With a signed two-year pact, the tablet can be yours for $679.99.

Turning to the 64GB cellular iPad mini (2019), the tablet is priced at $529.99, or 24 monthly payments of $22.08. Lock yourself into Verizon for two years and you can pick up the slate for $429.99. The 256GB version is tagged at $679.99 or $28.33 a month over 24 months. With the $100 discount for a signed two-year contract, the price is $579.99.

If you buy one of the new iPad or iPad mini tablets and a new iPhone using Verizon's 24 month Device Payment plan, you'll receive $250 in monthly bill credits over the 24 months. That works out to savings of $10.41 per month. So let's say you buy a 64GB iPhone XR and a 64GB iPad Air (2019) using the Device Payment plan. Combined, that works out to $57.48 a month over 24 months. With the credit, you'll make 24 monthly payments of $47.07.

These are all limited time offers so keep that in mind while you're looking over your options. If you are subscribed to a Verizon unlimited data plan, you can add up to two tablets at a cost of $20 per month per tablet. Video streams at 720p and you get 10GB of 4G mobile hotspot data each month; after the 10GB is consumed, you can tether at 3G speeds for the remainder of the month.
