Updates to the Motorola Camera and Gallery apps add new features to some Motorola handsets
Motorola updated its Camera and Gallery apps in the Google Play Store today. The update to the Camera app adds a bar code and QR reader to the camera on devices like the Second-generation Motorola Moto X, Motorola Moto X Pro (Chinese variant of the Nexus 6), Motorola DROID Turbo and versions of the Motorola Moto MAXX running on Android 5.1. The advantage for users of these models is that they don't have to download a separate QR or bar code reader from the Google Play Store when one is needed.

The update to the Gallery app allows you to create an album comprised of your photos and videos. The good part about this album creation is that you can store it on your microSD card (assuming that your phone has a microSD slot, of course).

Both updates can be found by heading to the Google Play Store and tapping on My apps.
