U.S. unlocked HTC One (M8) to get Eye Experience update on Tuesday
Last week, HTC introduced its Eye Experience camera-centric software update that actually comes pre-installed on the HTC Desire EYE. The manufacturer has already started rolling it out for unlocked HTC One (M8) models overseas. Starting tomorrow the same update will be coming to the U.S. variant of the unlocked HTC One (M8).

The other day, we told you that HTC had posted a series of video tutorials to show you how to use each of the new features. Some of these include Face Fusion, which allows you to merge two selfie style pictures. What is the point of this? Well, if you have a girl friend or boyfriend, you can merge selfies taken by each of you to see what your grown up kids might look like. Scary, we know. Split Capture allows you to comment on video, using the front-facing camera, on an image being videoed by the rear-facing camera. And Live Makeup is for all of you vain selfie takers out there who just have to have their blemishes covered up before posing for a picture. Using a slider, you can control how smooth your face looks with this feature. There are a number of other interesting features included with Eye Experience, including one that allows you to track up to four faces at the same time.

The Eye Experience update comes bundled with Android 4.4.4. A tweet from HTC's VP of Product Management, Mo Versi, alerted us to tomorrow's update. Eventually, the stateside carriers will be finished prodding the Eye Experience with their sharp sticks and will give the green light for it to roll out to carrier branded versions of the HTC One (M8). Before HTC is all done, a number of its most recent handsets will be updated with this feature pack.
