U.S. Cellular offers a customized list of Amazon Appstore apps to its customers
U.S. Cellular has become the first carrier to offer a custom list of apps for its customers in an app store. When a U.S. Cellular Android user opens up the Amazon Appstore for Android on most of the carrier's Android devices, he will see a list of categories and apps under a new U.S. Cellular tab. These are apps that have been pre-selected and approved by the carrier.

The Amazon Appstore for Android app is available for many U.S. Cellular Android users along with other Amazon apps such as Kindle for Android, Amazon Mobile, IMDb movies and television, Audible for Android, Zappos and Amazon MP3. The curated list of apps for U.S. Cellular customers is another feature that is unique to customers of the Chicago based carrier. While the carrier had been the only one in the nation to offer a points based rewards system, newly launched Voyager Mobile also features the same concept. U.S. Cellular customers also have free Overage Protection and a free Battery Swap program.Currently, 25% of the carrier's customers have access its 4G LTE network. By the end of the year, that number is expected to rise to 54%.
