Trailer for new Lindsey Lohan flick shows off a Nokia Lumia model twice
If you went by the latest television shows, movies and music videos, you might think that the whole world is full of nothing but Windows Phone 8 users. Whether it is Jennifer Lopez and Pitbull in a music video, or Kelly Clarkson's video, these product placements make sure that Windows Phone models are not only seen, but are placed in a positive light. Sometimes, there is even a connection between the video or movie and the phone being displayed. For example, The Nokia Lumia 925 with its metal exterior, was seen in the most recent Superman movie Man of Steel.

Now comes the trailer for the next Lindsey Lohan movie. Thanks to Amanda Bynes' recent erratic behavior, Lohan is having a reprieve from her usual role as the typical child star gone bad. The trailer for Canyons includes a couple of shots of a Nokia Lumia model in action. Nokia apparently has a very active and persuasive product placement team. You can view the trailer by clicking on the video below.

Other manufacturers are calling on television stars on long running series to pump up sales. This year, the last season of Dexter, the serial killer and other characters on the show have been using an Apple iPhone. Considering how often Dexter has been using his phone this year, and the number of closeups that the phone has been receiving, Apple has to be happy with this particular product placement.

Lol I love that at 0:32, the only point of the frames is to show a Nokia model on a seat.. best scene ever?

First allow me to say some of the comments are getting to be immature. I respect that we all have our favorite tech, brands, OS etc etc.. But lets not be rude to people for having a different opinion or preference. Now as for windows phone. I am a proud Nokia user. I love them back in there hay day when symbien was young and some what fresh but like many I starting using Android since the G1. Now I have owned two phones the Nokia 822 and now the Nokia 928 and truth be told I love it. I l live in the south "clearly not the epicenter of innovation of adoption I have actually seen more than my fare share of windows users. That being said I do feel that MS and Nokia are fighting an uphill battle. Android and IOS are to strong to just sweep aside. But if you check with any carrier reports show that Windows is on a small but steady rise. Would Nokia make a killer Android? Heck yes they would! But there are to many players on that field. They are the first real players to the windows phone party since the reinvent. So that's my 2 cents. Hope you all have a great day.

You are rational, you don't belong here.

I remember my first smartphone, a windows phone but not Nokia, it was 95% fluid interface, but lack of apps and games, the boring ui and battery drainer, and no adobe flash player are the reason to shift in android world. At least even until now you can side load the adobe flash player to any 2013 android phones. When it comes to camera phone, Nokia is #1...maybe! But functionality, I'll go to android.

Worse product placement ever. MS is paying for their devices in a lot of shows these days but they lost their mind with this one.

I think they're trying to go for the younger crowd that justifies and mirrors Lindsey's antics. That's about all I could come up with for this oddball decision.

True, they should go for Taylor Swift, or Gomez, or that Canadian Beaver girl. Just not the kardashian klan.

Update: It's a special edition of the phone. The Lumia 925 "STD". *bah-dum-tiss* I thought at first it was the 925 "AA"... but we all know Lindsey wouldn't take the AA seriously. * double bah-dum-tiss*

I'm not sure if it's a language barrier, or an age barrier, but... Come on guy, you can do better than that.

Either Android fanboys are scared or paid. It is impressive, how fast they show up as soon a Nokia related article appears. For all others, it is fact, that Windows Phone users are more satisfied with their phone than Android users.

Nokia, this is just too much. If you want to beat the others, keep focusing on your Lumia and the Marketplace, not promoting your Lumia on music videos and movies every time.
