Target launches Android app, free to download from the Market
With the economy as weak as it is, every edge that a retailer can get could translate into important revenue. Target, long seen as a more upscale version of Walmart, has just launched a free app for the Android Market. The main menu divides the content into thirds; the first part is a weekly circular that offers savings on a number of everyday items. The second part shows you giant savings on items that are in clearance, and the third part is for those going off to college to make sure that you have everything you need.

While items cannot be purchased directly from the site, you can check availability of an item at your local Target store, even telling you which aisle the item can be found at. One interesting item that the discount retailer has seen fit to include is a barcode scanner. That could come in handy in the store when you need a price check and no one in a red shirt is around.

You can install the Target app on your Android phone for free from the Android Market or you can scan the QR code that you will find on the source link below.
