T-Mobile Tuesday now allows subscribers to share certain freebies with friends or family

Starting next week, T-Mobile is bringing a new feature to its T-Mobile Tuesday reward program. For the first time, recipients of the freebies handed out each Tuesday by the nation's third-largest carrier will be able to share certain gifts with a friend or family member. That is regardless of which carrier they subscribe to. Let's use next week's T-Mobile Tuesday as an example. Next Tuesday,  T-Mobile subscribers will receive two 25 cents a gallon discounts on up to 20 gallons of Shell gasoline. The discounts are valued at $5 each. One of these discounts must be handed over to a friend or family member.

In addition, T-Mobile subscribers will receive two free video rentals (valued up to $5 each) from FandangoNOW. One of those free rentals is only valid if used by a friend or family member. In other words, you cannot keep both gas discounts or both free video codes. One must be shared. The other freebie this coming Tuesday includes a $15 Lyft ride that you can use for yourself, or give away to a friend or family member.

This week's contest will have two Grand Prize winners. Each one will receive a $2500 gift card from Shell. Both winners will also be written a check in the amount of $1,072 to be used to pay the taxes for the prize, or for any other expense. 1,400 First Prize winners will be awarded a $25 Shell gift card. 25,000 Second Prize winners will get a $10 gift card from their choice between Amazon.com, Starbucks, Burger King or Target. 25,000 Third Place winners will get a $5 gift card from their choice between the same four retailers.

All together, 51,402 prizes will be won. The value of these prizes amounts to $417,144.
