Deal: Buy a Sony Xperia XZ Premium (with 4K screen) for just $479.99

Deal: Buy a Sony Xperia XZ Premium (with 4K screen) for just $479.99
Launched in the US back in June as one of Sony's most expensive smartphones to date (at $799), the Xperia XZ Premium can now be bought for less than $500. Retailer B&H is currently selling the Luminous Chrome version of the Sony Xperia XZ Premium for $479.99 - after a $100 instant discount and an extra $120 coupon discount (visible when you're adding the phone to your shopping cart). This deal is valid only until tomorrow, February 13, at 11:59 pm ET.

Meanwhile, other color versions of the Xperia XZ Premium (including black, pink, and red) are available for $599. If you don't find them at B&H, they're in stock at retailers like Amazon and Best Buy.

Sony's Xperia XZ Premium may not have the thin bezels of other smartphones out there, but it offers some features that you simply can't find on handsets made by other companies, including a 4K (2160 x 3840 pixels) display, and super-slow motion video recording (960 fps). Plus, the XZ Premium is a powerful handset anyway, thanks to its Snapdragon 835 processor and 4 GB of RAM. Other notable features include water resistance, 64 GB of expandable storage space, and a 3230 mAh battery.

As a reminder, the Sony Xperia XZ Premium is unlocked and fully compatible with GSM/LTE carriers like AT&T and T-Mobile, but not with Verizon or Sprint. The handset currently runs Android 8 Oreo, and will certainly be updated to Android P (after Google releases this new version of its OS).

Now that working fingerprint scanners are coming to the US, expect deeper discounts on older Sony phones. Shame though, that XZP is one fine device.

It's so easy to enable the finger print scanner. Besides it's only for the US the scanner was disabled in software only. The hardware works fine, like I said, if you enable it.

IMO onePlus 5T have a better value than sony XZ premium. Sure maybe Sony camera/video is better then on the 5T but XZ Premium has LCD screen while the 5T has OLED and even though the resolution is 1080 plus, its not draining too much of your battery unlike the XZP. It's a nice device but overall there are better choices out there...

Sony doesn't really drain your battery because it runs at 1080p most of the time and it only enables 4k for photos and videos

5T does not have : IP68, slot sd, dual front stereo speakers, Qnovo battery tech, QC 3.0, 1 Gigabit LTE, HDR screen, hi res audio, faster updates, Argumented Reality, super slow motion, quantum dot screen. With all this, 5T would cost more than $750 too.

Besides the spartan sony fans, nobody else seems to want a phone with tiny 4k screen and gargantuan bezels. No wonder people prefer 5T, it has a proper huge screen while having smaller dimensions and also more RAM. I prefer a better screen to body ratio any day over gimmicky XZp features that sony fans are so proud about.

You are a casual user, oneplus is a garbage phone, I prefer bevels to a lousy screen of low resolution and poor quality. Only the loser buy oneplus

Yeah yeah, but so far the loser is only Sony. Every year they sell less devices than the previous and their flagship's prices drop each day.

Wait until Oneplus stealing your data and have your credit card's security breached. Then you'll sing a different tune.

Credit card issue has nothing to do with the device. Stealing data thing is just FUD.
