Just yesterday the Sony Xperia J was introduced at the manufacturer's IFA press event and already the entry-level model has been whisked off to enjoy a day with the FCC. This is not a device for the power user with that single-core 1GHz processor that the model is sporting, and the 512MB of RAM on board is certainly light for the times.

The Sony Xperia J is due out sometime in Q4, and the FCC visit now allows Sony to cross a line through at least one item on the to-do list before it's launch. Sony certainly has been busy expanding its Xperia line and our only concern is that eventually the Japanese OEM will run out of letters.
