Snapdragon 615 powered HTC One M8i to be known as HTC One M8s in some regions?
Last month, we told you that a mid-range version of the HTC One (M8) was going to be offered by HTC. Called the HTC One M8i, this model would be powered by a 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 615 CPU with the Adreno 405 GPU taking care of the graphics. All of the other specs remain the same. Apparently the earlier talk about a 13MP Duo camera on back turned out to be false. The HTC One M8i would even look exactly like the HTC One (M8).

While serial leakster @upleaks had said that the device would be called the HTC One M8i, a report out of the Netherlands today said that HTC would be calling this model the HTC One M8s. Considering that the source of the M8s name is Mark Moons, who toils for HTC Benelux, it would seem that this would be the name of the device. However, @upleaks says that his tipster is a highly trusted source in his own right.

Actually, both names could be right. HTC might be using two different titles depending on the region, In most of Europe, the phone will apparently answer to the name of HTC One M8i. In the Benelux region at least, it will be known as the HTC One M8s. Either way, the handset will reportedly come with Android 5.0 pre-installed with HTC's Sense 6.0 running on top. Pricing and availability have not been disclosed. Hopefully, HTC will clear this up shortly.

Thanks for the tip!
