Smaller 5.5-inch version of the Xiaomi Mi MIX surfaces?

Now, it looks like Xiaomi wants to interest buyers in a version of the Mi MIX that would be more comfortable to hold. Code named Nano, this Mi MIX variant will reportedly come with a 5.5-inch display, and will be powered by the Snapdragon 821 chipset. That means that it will carry a quad-core CPU and the Adreno 530 GPU. 4GB of RAM is inside along with 64GB of native storage.
There is no word on when we might see this model made available, and there was also no mention of any possible price range. Click on the slideshow for some images that supposedly compare the full-sized Mi MIX to the Nano version. And yes, we do suggest that you take this story with the proverbial grain of salt.

I thought the original one was a 5.5" diaplay?

We're most likely going to see variations of this design with other manufacturers in the near future. Give me a pixel with this design and I'm in. Also, I'm not an iPhone user, but it would be nice to see them come forth with this design as well. It's long over due for Apple to come out with something that stands out. Refinements are nice. But an iPhone with a stand out design such as this for example, is over due.

If they can integrate fingerprint under the screen(ultrasonic), or put it on the right side as Sony and make whole screen front, it would be great. The only problem left is front camera. Can be placed top center with curved top side, maybe. Just thinking out loud. Anyway it is good device.
