Sony Tablet S (L) and Sony Tablet P

The Sony Tablet S is not the freshest device on Sony's fruit stand, but the manufacturer is willing to update it to keep its owners from watching it rot. The U.K. model of the tablet is the recipient of a small, 9MB maintenance update that doesn't take the OS to the next build (it's currently running Android 4.0.3). The dudes and dudettes at Coolsmartphone said that they did notice an
improvement in performance, though.
After installing the maintenance update from Sony, users of the Sony Tablet S said the device was more responsive and the interface was smoother, especially when scrolling through the app menu. The lag noticeable when scrolling through home screens was nearly gone although there was no change in the performance of apps running on the tablet.
The
Sony Tablet S was launched nearly a year ago at around the same time as the
Sony Tablet P. The latter is a unique clamshell tablet while the former is a more traditional unit. Images of what is said to be
the next Sony Xperia Tablet have been leaked recently with the introduction due during the Berlin IFO show in a couple of weeks.
