Samsung registers names for new Windows tablets and phones
Samsung recently teased us with what apparently is a  Windows 8 tablet with a keyboard dock. And it looks as though we're only a few days from finding out all about them. Things are moving rapidly on this front with a tweet from SamMobile telling us about the new names that Samsung has trademarked for the Windows 8 line. One name trademarked is the Samsung Ativ Tab. Obviously a tablet line and with the absence of the Galaxy name, we can feel confident that this is not related to anything Android.

The other trademarked moniker, the Samsung Ativ S will probably be used for a range of high-end Windows Phone 8 smartphones. It's simple really, Samsung Galaxy S represents the Korean manufacturer's high-end Android phones while the Samsung Ativ S does the same for its Windows Phone 8 handsets. Make any sense?

The good thing is that we are just days away from the start of IFA which means we should know the answers to all of your questions really, really soon.
