Last week, we told you that Samsung would soon release a
Galaxy Note 4 Developer Edition in the US. Well, as of today, the handset is available to buy, though its price is higher than the one reported last week ($662).
The Note 4 Developer Edition costs $699.99, and works only on Verizon Wireless (just like the Galaxy S5 Developer Edition, or the Galaxy Note 3 Developer Edition). The Galaxy Note 4 DE obviously doesn’t require a contract agreement, and comes with an unlockable bootloader. Samsung is offering only a black version of it (while the non-Developer variant can also be purchased in white).
As we concluded in our
review of the regular Galaxy Note 4, this one of Samsung’s best handsets ever, and certainly one of the best large screen smartphones out there. Its highlight features include a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with 1440 x 2560 pixels, S Pen Stylus, quad-core 2.7 GHz Snapdragon 805 processor, 16 MP rear camera, and 3 GB of RAM. The handset runs Android 4.4 KitKat with TouchWiz UI, and should be updated to Android 5.0 Lollipop in the coming months.
