Samsung Galaxy A3 (2016) starts receiving Android 7.0 Nougat update

It looks like the A3 will be the first Galaxy A 2016 series smartphones to receive the long-awaited Android 7.0 Nougat update. Although we had reports about the upcoming release of the update, Samsung usually offers large time frames that are subject to change.

Well, it turns out that many Samsung Galaxy A3 (2016) users in Germany and Hungary confirmed they have successfully captured the update on their smartphones.

As such, it looks like the update will first be pushed to the majority of users in Europe, but Galaxy A3 (2016) owners in other regions should expect it in the coming weeks as well.

Keep in mind that this is a relatively sizable download that weighs in at 950MB, so make sure you have enough free storage before attempting to download and install it. Aside from the usual Android 7.0 Nougat new features and improvements, the update is supposed to bring one of the newer security patches.

Also, two other Galaxy A 2016 smartphones are expected to receive the Android 7.0 Nougat update this year: Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7.
