Samsung Ativ S leaks – high-end WP8 smartphone with HD display and dual-core processor

Remember the couple of new trademarks that Samsung was discovered to have registered not long ago? Yeah, it turns out they really are meant for the company's new lineup of Windows-based hardware. In fact, the smartphone that you see in the picture is said to be the Samsung Ativ S, which will run Windows Phone 8 and look quite a lot like the Galaxy S III flagship.
According to the source of this leak, we are dealing with a high-end WP8 handset powered by a 1.5GHz processor and flaunting a huge, 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED display. The main camera is allegedly of 8 megapixels, and a 1.9MP front-facing shooter resides above its screen. Not bad, Samsung, not bad.

Looks nice, I like the new WP8 layout. Samsung needs to mix up their phone designs though.

Maybe they are going for the uniform look, so you can tell its a Samsung phone irrespective of the Operating System, while each phone hold its own uniqueness but overall look is the same or similar. Just saying. Which I think it's not a bad idea. In my own opinion that could be a good direction.

Okay, I am sure I can get used to the lame name. I am giving WP 8 first crack for my business before any other OS, and Samsung gets first crack at being my manufacturer of choice. My Focus S has been flawless. I am really excited for this. Why NOT announce tonight? If Nokia gets to be the first "hands on" devices at the WP 8 announcement alongside Microsoft, than no harm, no foul. It's not like WP8 is a secret, and if Sammy shows the devices but doesn't show them off running WP8 but just brags on specs, Nokia still gets their day in the sun.

Folks it has a look too much like the Iphone to me and might get canned because of this. I know Microsoft would jump up into's Samsung's face to tell them to get right. because Microsoft wont have it's smart phones caught up in a patent design infringement.Specs wise this Smart phone is what windows smart phones needed all along to be more competitive in the market place. now people can buy a Samsung windows smart phone and know that the wont have second class Hardware.
