Render shows the Nokia Lumia 830 posing next to the Lumia 930, the former might come with an IPS LCD display
We've already seen the Nokia Lumia 830from quite a few angles, and some leaked images even gave us insight under its back plate, where Microsoft's own mark is clearly visible. Well, the exterior looks of the not-so-camera-shy device are not the only thing that is no longer a secret – see, there are some alleged dimensions of the device circulating in and out of the rumor mill. We are talking about purported height of 139.4mm and width of 70.7mm, which means that the Lumia 830 will be a tad higher, yet narrower than the Nokia Lumia 930.
We got hold of a rendered image that puts the Lumia 830 next to the Lumia 930 and compares the duo in terms of pure size. They look pretty identical at first sight, but a second inspection reveals the few millimeters that the Lumia 830 has over the 930. A little taller and slightly narrower – that will surely have an effect on the one-hand usability of the device.
In addition, the person who initially posted the size-comparing render claims that the Nokia Lumia 830 will be endowed with an IPS LCD display, unlike the Lumia 930, which packs an AMOLED one. Speaking of displays, the Lumia 830 is most probably coming with a 4.5-inch one with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. Numerous rumors also have it that the smartphone will sport a PureView camera, most likely a 13MP one. The SoC that will make the Lumia 830 tick and click will probably be a Snapdragon 800 one.
The Nokia Lumia 830 might be officially unveiled in ten days' time, as Microsoft has already hinted that it will be announcing at least one smartphone at its event at IFA 2014.
