OnePlus 5 receives Android 8.1 Oreo via OxygenOS Open Beta 6 update
Great news for OnePlus 5 owners, especially those who have enrolled in the beta program. It appears the latest open beta update released by OnePlus brings Android 8.1 Oreo, along with some additional new features and improvements.

For example, there's a new auto pick up gesture available to OnePlus 5 users, as well as a new option that allows them to answer an incoming call by raising the phone.

Furthermore, the update adds more clock styles for ambient display and new optimizations in gaming mode for immersive gaming experiences including power saving and pausing adaptive brightness.

More importantly, the update includes the February security patch and a new version of the OnePlus Switch app that now allows users to migrate app data, thus enabling them to switch between devices much easier.

Finally, the official changelog mentions OxygenOS Open Beta 6 brings some general bug fixes and improvements, although no additional details are offered. Keep in mind that you'll receive the update as OTA (over the air) if you have already flashed another OxygenOS beta build.
