Nokia Lumia 635 just $99 from Newegg through Thursday
How would you like to save 60% on a smartphone with Windows Phone 8.1 pre-installed out of the box? That means having Cortana at your beck and call. From now through Thanksgiving Day, you can purchase the Nokia Lumia 635  from Newegg for the bargain basement price of $99.99. This handset is usually $249.99.

So what are you getting for your hard earned money? The Nokia Lumia 635 is equipped with a 4.5 inch screen with resolution of 480 x 854. That works out to a pixel density of 218ppi. Powering the phone is a quad-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 CPU with the Adreno 305 GPU handling graphics. 512MB of RAM is on board with 8GB of native storage. The 128GB capacity microSD slot allows for additional memory if needed. There is just one camera available, and that is a 5MP rear-facing snapper. An 1830mAh battery keeps the lights on.

The Nokia Lumia 635 features connectivity with T-Mobile's 4G LTE network, and we should also tell you that if you order the phone from Newegg, shipping is free.

I'd wait for the 535. About the same price for many more features, such as flash, front facing camera, bigger screen, etc

It would be so sweet if the 535 came with clearblack display as well. I really like that part about the 635. It gives the 635 a premium feeling that the 535 doesn't have. (I haven't seen the 535 in person. Just judging from what I see in videos though) But yeah, I would wait for the 535, too. Better in many ways. And that front camera is sick.

Microsoft stores have the 635 for $39 for black Friday. I have noticed that a lot of retailers are doing more of a black week but don't know if it applies here as well. I may have a note 3 but I'll be picking one up to play around with

Wait what for real? I'm gonna go buy another one. $39 for the Lumia 635 is just super sweet. (I used to have one) I'm using the Note 3 as my main phone too, but it's fun to borrow the Lumia 635 back from my dad to play with once in a while.

Hmm, my local Microsoft store sent me an ad that they'll be selling the AT&T 635 for $40 tomorrow with no contract. I'm on Verizon and really have no use for it, but that is almost too good to ignore.

So.. normally people are paying $250 for a phone with 512 mb of RAM, a 5 mega pixel camera with no flash, No front facing camera, 8 GB of internal storage when the Blu Win HD costs $174 and comes with 1 GB of ram an 8 mega pixel camera with flash,, 2 mega pixel front camera and 8 GB of internal storage? is LTE that more expensive?

No it's not usually $250. Microsoft has had it at $100 for days now (it used to be $130, not much more than that). Amazon has had it at $100 for weeks. No big deal here. I mean, $100 seems normal to me.

Well I'll do the math. Ok, a Snapdragon 805 with a 1440x2560 display = a Snapdragon 801 with a 1080x1920 display = a Snapdragon 615 with a 720x1280 display = a Snapdragon 400 with a 480x854 display?

If you were talking about performance, then no. At least not on this phone. There is no way it performs like a snap801 1080p HTC One M8, 1080p snap800 Note 3 or even the older older 1080p HTC One M7. Don't forget the ram. The Moto G with same CPU and 720p display performs much better than this phone, probably because 1gb of ram can actually handle stuff. This a nice budget phone with very decent display and nice price ($100 vs $180 Moto G), but there is no =.
