Nokia France promotes Nokia Lumia 1020 as the 'shoot first, zoom later' phone
The Nokia Lumia 1020 has been eclipsed as the flagship Nokia Lumia model by the Nokia Lumia 1520 phablet. Still, when it comes to the camera, the rear snapper on the older model is hard to top. The 41MP PureView snapper on the Lumia 1020 offers OIS for both still photography and video, and thanks to the new Refocus feature, allows you to shoot first and focus later. It is the latter point that is the, um, focus of the commercial below from Nokia France.

The new Refocus feature is now available on those Nokia Lumia phones with a PureView snapper. That means that the Nokia Lumia 920, Nokia Lumia 925, Nokia Lumia 928 and Nokia Lumia 1520 offer this ability along with the Nokia Lumia 1020. This Lytro-style function allows you to snap a picture and change the focal point after you get a look at it. You can change the focus from the foreground, to the background, anywhere you want to. And another cool effect lets you keep the color of the part of the picture in focus while everything else is in black and white.

Click on the video below to check out the commercial below from Nokia France, which certainly does a good job in showing off the new Refocus feature on the Nokia Lumia 1020.

Alan, you might want to re-phrase some parts of the articles as the video is actually "shoot first, ZOOM later" not focus! Having said that, Nokia Refocus is an awesome app, although it seems to drop the resolution a little.
