Nexus One running Android 2.2 on video for your pleasure; Froyo includes Flash 10.1
Adobe has passed out Android phones to its employees. Some of them have been lucky enough-like Ryan Stewart-to find that their Nexus One is powered by Android 2.2, also known as Froyo. Thanks to this video made by Mr. Stewart, we can see that 2.2 will include support for Flash 10.1 as well as a new app launcher, Android tutorial and a global search box. Android 2.2 is expected to be introduced at this month's Google I/O show. As for when you might expect to see the new build on your DROID or Nexus One, no date has been announced although we have reported that June appears a likely time for a launch of Android 2.2.

In short what this guy says is "Ohh look at me!! see all these cool stuff you can do?! see? we can make flash for cellphones! yeah! Sure, it may not work as flawlessly as I claim it does, and in a couple of years HTML5 will be able to do exactly the same, with much better performance (HTML pure >>> HTML + flash), but who cares?! we can do something iPhone cant! bohoo!" Seriously now. Flash is history. It WILL be replaced by HTML5. and it DOES cause a huge amount of problems to a lot of people - me included. Heck, its the #1 reason my chrome crashes\freezes.

That little red number there doesn't bother me in the slightest. I'm just expressing my opinion. If you don't agree with it you are welcome to respond.. but by just clicking ( - ) you as well might have not done anything at all.

bucky +1 ilia1986 -1 .... You are an iPhone fan, aren't you ... Do you really think what you've posted, or you are saying that becouse your precious Steve Jobs said that ? Do you even know what is HTML5 ? Is the normal HTML with support for embeded videos and a few more things, not even close to Flash, will STILL USE PLUGINS LIKE FLASH ... And the first site was in Flash WITH 3D (yeah, that big tree was in 3D and had at least 25fps/s amost like an iPhone app, only that was in the browser). In video were 5 sites, this will mean the iPhone would need 5 apps to be able to see the content on each site... I don't hate iPhone, becouse of it there are more and more touchscreens on the market, different OS ... etc, but the users should chose for them if they want or not Flash. Adobe already have made an version for the iPhone, but Steve Jobs don't wan't it and keep repeatng the same lame c.r.a.p. about errors... etc. YES, I'VE HAD a few problems with Opera and Flash (Youtube), but I simply closed the browser and opened it again, not so hard, and were very rare times. So if you don't like flash, JUST DON'T INSTALL IT ON YOUR PC/DEVICE , you will fell more of the iPad's internet experience. You want the FULL web on your phone ? There's an app for that ... No wait, IT ISN'T :D

Well first of all I am an iPhone fan, but also also of recently I am also a huge android fan. Second of all - I am not saying the flash is evil and we should all get rid of it. I'm saying its a thing of the past. And when the CEO of the largest mobile phone manufacturer in the US (like it or not) says that flash will be gone in a short while - and goes as far as to announce that no iphone\ipad is ever going to support flash - I somehow believe that he didn'd say this just because he hates adobe and is an egoist (though he might be all the same). He said it as a CEO and buisnessman. And when a buisnessman like Steve Jobs says that Black is whilte from an economical point of view - lack is white. Its not about his vision, or his ideology or his ego. Its about BUISINESS. And I somehow don't believe that his decision to exclude flash from his devices was a poor economical decision... you know the 1,000,000+ ipads (as imo useless as they might be) sold kinda prove that. Third of all - I also don't believe that he would just diss something as important and defining as flash - if he truly didn't believe that HTML5 is: 1. better (and obviously as capable as flash is) 2. just around the corner So yeah - we all use flash because that is what exists. And its not a bad thing (even thought it does crash a few times). But we shouldn't hail and praise it when some developer (from adobe, no less) wants to preserve the past\present in some cell phone app browser. Its a sign of panic from adobe - because there wasn't a single commercial until now that I'm aware of that said "Here, this is flash and its awesome". I choose to believe to what Steve says on this - and that is despite the fact that I don't agree to a lot of things he does (like lack of customization and openess of iphone os, ipad, etc etc).

Lol this is the best idea i've ever seen on PA. +1 for you.

As a matter of fact I don't. I don't really seek the feedback of others.. and as a matter of fact anyone who sees those big reds is going to just open my post and read it regardless out of the curiosity. So that just attracts a whole lot more attention to me. I guess that is the "price" I have to pay for expressing an unpopular opinion. Thats ok. I'm used to that.

I want HULU right now on my badass DROID! We can argue about HTML5 dominating or not dominating later...just give me HULU and metacafe and video support on facebook and all that other good stuff.
