At the company's analyst event in Chicago, Motorola has showcased four new iDEN clamshell phones – i880, i885, ic502 and ic902 with the latter two being the first cross-platform handsets as they are also CDMA devices. From what is reported it looks like the ic502 is a basic rugged phone, while the ic902 sports a 2 megapixel camera and music player with dedicated buttons.

Both phones can be opened by pressing a key placed on the hinge. The design of the two devices is something worth mentioning as the i880 sports something like a snakeskin housing, and the i885 has a faux-leather finish.
