Motorola signals imminent arrival of Android 5.1 for the Motorola DROID Turbo
Motorola turned to its active Twitter account on Monday evening to signal that the long awaited Android 5.1 update for the Motorola DROID Turbo is imminent. Yesterday, we told you that the Android 5.1 update for the handset had started undergoing a soak test, which means that the actual update could be just days away.

Like it did on a number of its models, Motorola decided to skip the Android 5.0 update on the DROID Turbo and go straight to Android 5.1. But a multitude of unhappy DROID Turbo owners have been peppering Motorola on its Instagram page every day, inquiring about the update.

Now that the end is in sight for owners of the highly spec'd handset, the next thing they have to wonder about is whether the DROID Turbo will be getting updated to Android M, and when this might happen. Smartphone owners, especially those who own a model devised for power users, are notoriously hard to please. Once Android 5.1 arrives on the Turbo, they might take all of five minutes to enjoy it before seeking out the next update.
