Moto X (2014) vs HTC One (M8) vs Apple iPhone 5s: specs and size comparison
Motorola finally unveiled the successor to its Moto X flagship! It doesn't come with the fancy "Moto X+1" name that we initially thought it would be, but that's not stopping the smartphone from being a slight, but more-than-welcome improvements to the older Moto X. It has a 5.2” AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. This works out for a pixel density of 423ppi, which puts the just-unveiled Moto X in the higher tier of the smartphone segment.

It has a 5.2” AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. This works out for a pixel density of 423ppi. A Snapdragon 801 MSM8974-AC (similar to the one of the Sony Xperia Z3) churns the gears at 2.5GHz and turns the second generation of the Moto X into a powerhouse. The 2GB of RAM on board also add up to the whole picture. Lastly, a not-so-impressive 2,300mAh battery can be found at the back of the device.

But how does the new Moto X stack up against the competition, i.e. the HTC One (M8) and the Apple iPhone 5s, for example? We were eager to find out, so we decided to put this trio on the boxing ring and sound the gong.

If this MOTO X had a regular Snapdragon 800 and all of these specs...these COULD have been on last year's Xphone! It would have lived up to all of the hype which the Xphone did NOT because of the specs that it DID come with...And at around $499 Off-Contract, this would have been a really awesome FLAGSHIP phone for MOTOROLA LAST Year... We'll just have to wait and see how LENOVO will operate MOTOROLA MOBILITY...

The moto x really proves how lame and stupid HTC's design is. Same screen size yet see how the X is more compact?

Actually Moto X has a bigger screen by 0.2 inches. It's because they want to have their logo in front... yes i know there is parts behind there but they could of made a plan to move it somewhere else.

The X is thicker and wider than the One and the One has big speaker chambers and dedicated amplifiers. It also has a bigger battery fitted inside. You choose what's important to you.

Moto X: 5.54 inches in height with a 5.2 inch display HTC one M8: 5.76 inches in height with only a 5.0 inch display......what's wrong here?

I don't think any of you guys realized that the HTC phone has front facing boom sound speakers, which takes up space in the front, its not just that they wanted their logo on the front.
