Moto G5 Plus hits the shelves at Republic Wireless for $229
The Moto G5 Plus, one of the robust mid-range Android smartphones recently launched on the market, has just made its debut at Republic Wireless. Customers can now pick this one up for prices starting at $229.

The good news is Republic Wireless offers the 4GB RAM/64GB ROM model as well, though customers will have to pay $299 upfront to get it. Another option allows you to grab the Moto G5 Plus for just $14 per month (32GB model) or $18 per month (64GB model).

The smartphone is available in either Lunar Gray or Fine Gold color options, and according to Republic Wireless it ships in 2-3 days.

The Nougat-powered handset comes with a 5.2-inch display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating.

Also, the Moto G5 Plus is equipped with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, either 2GB or 4GB RAM, as well as 32GB or 64GB internal memory (expandable via microSD card).

On the back, the smartphone packs a 12-megapixel camera with dual-LED flash and 4K video recording, while on the front there's a secondary 5-megapixel selfie shooter. The Moto G5 Plus drains energy from a non-removable 3,000 mAh battery.

Changes wishlist for the Moto G6 plus: USB Type-C 3.0/2.0 IP67/68 Certification 3500 mAh battery 5.3 inch Full HD display, better colours, higher max. brightness, better screen temp. OIS on back cam, with better slo-mo, and improved noise reduction Front 8mp cam with screen flash, and autofocus like on Galaxy S8 2 storage options: 32GB+3GB (US$ 239), 64GB+4GB (US$ 299) Snapdragon 653 (why not? the Redmi Note 3 Pro had a 650 for $180 at release) NFC in all models (which means the US ones too) A higher screen:body (73%?), rounded corners. Gorilla Glass 4 protection, 18:9 aspect ratio Fully Laminated display with antireflective coating iPhone 7 like stereo speaker setup (axon 7 mini had dual front firing speakers) Full 7000 series aluminium body and frame 3 colurs: Gold, silver, and all black no bloatware (G5 Plus still has some) More 4G LTE bands supported 3 directional mems mics for improved noise reduction Some of these are software features, rest are hardware. And I suppose in an year's time, Lenovo can have Motorolla to build this amazing G6 Plus with the wishlist specs, and even better ones if possible.
