If you're seeking an alternative to the popular AirDroid, or just started looking for a solution to easily control your smartphone and tablet through your desktop PC, you should check out Mobizen. It's a web-based piece of software that lets you control your mobile device with an easy, desktop-like user experience. First, you have to install the Mobizen app on your smartphone or tablet. Then, download Mobizen PC, and connect the device to your PC, Mac, iPad or Tablet via USB, Wi-Fi, 3G or LTE. There is a basic registration involved, where you have to choose an e-mail address and a password for your account.

Once you're set, Mobizen will provide functionality such as real-time mirroring (run any Android app on your desktop or tablet), screen recording (take screenshots and videos with no need to root), mobile presentation (mirroring with on-screen drawing tools), notifications (receiving and interaction), video streaming (transferring files to pc or tablet is no longer necessary), drag and drop file transfer (easy file transfer between PC and mobile). You can also enjoy a depiction of your device on screen, clicking on the Android home screen, powering on/off, toggling volume, inputting text, and such. It's like your Android packed its stuff and moved in inside your computer!

To use Mobizen, you'll need an Android 4.0+ smartphone and/or tablet, along with a recent browser on your Windows XP or later / Mac OS X 10.7 machine. For video recording, your device needs to run Android 4.2 or later. If you want to use Mobizen to play games on your desktop, you probably won't find the delayed controls ideal. Still, the app is free.
