Microsoft has just announced a new Skype for Business client for Mac, which comes alongside a set of new features aimed at those who use its application on the Android and iOS platforms.

The most important improvement Android and iOS users will be provided with very soon is the ability to present PowerPoint files. More importantly, Skype for Business now allows mobile users to present content right from their Android and iOS devices.

In addition, Microsoft announced that Android users can also share a file stored on the device itself. To find the file you want to share, simply use swipe gestures to transition between different slides. As soon as the PowerPoint file has been shared, it will become available in the meeting's content bin to all participants to download or use for their presentations.

The second major capability introduced by Microsoft in Skype for Business is video-based Screen Sharing. According to Microsoft, the feature is now much faster and the experience more stable, but also more network bandwidth efficient.

The improved Screen Sharing experience for mobile devices is especially useful for those who are usually sharing animated content, including CAD models.

On a side note, Microsoft confirmed that it will soon add call-kit integration on iOS, as well as other new features in upcoming updates. If you haven't used Skype for Business until now, you can check them out for free via Google Play or App Store.
