Low-res camera snaps 3D schematic of Xiaomi Mi4S?
Our heads have been spinning when it comes to Xiaomi's next flagship model. Will it be the Xiaomi Mi4S or the Xiaomi Mi5? Yesterday, we showed you a poster that came from the manufacturer's social media site in China. The poster said that Xiaomi's next flagship would be as thin as the wings on a cicada, an insect found in China, and would be unveiled on January 15th.

Someone inside contract manufacturer Foxconn allegedly leaked (in glorious low resolution) the image of a 3D schematic for the Xiaomi Mi4S. Check out the images in the slideshow below. The phone will carry a 5.5-inch screen with a resolution of 1440 x 2560. The Snapdragon 805 is said to be under the hood with 3GB of RAM inside, and either 16GB or 64GB of native storage. A 16MP rear-snapper joins with an 8MP front-facing "selfie" shooter.

As for the design, the power button has been moved to the right to improve the grip on the phone. The volume keys are elongated, and the flash is now an oval, changed from the lozenge design. By this time next week, all of the hoopla should be over with, and we will know all about Xiaomi's next flagship device. For now, it is best to take these images with a grain of salt. Official and unofficial sources can't seem to agree on any aspect of this launch.

Thanks for the tip!
