Lenovo unveils a trio of budget A-Series Android tablets
King of the PC Plus hill, Lenovo, unveiled a trio of new A-Series Android tablets. Save for the latter two's Dolby-enhanced speakers and bigger battery capacities in the latter , the A7-50, A8, and A10 are, basically, the same tablet in different screen sizes.

The A7-50 is a budget offering with a surprisingly nice set of specs - a 7-inch 720p HD display, a MTK8121 1.3GHz quad-core CPU, 1GB RAM, 16GB of expandable storage, a pair of 5MP rear and 2MP front fixed-focus cameras, and a hearty 3450mAh battery. It will be sold in Wi-Fi-only, and Wi-Fi & 3G-connected variants, and it will run Android 4.2 out of the box, while eligible for an upgrade to KitKat.

At 0.70 lbs (320g), it's not exactly the most feather-light tablet you can get, and it's available only in a Midnight Blue shade. Still, the A7-50 is made for the purposes of browsing, reading, chatting, and multimedia, and should deliver a perfectly fine experience on these fronts.

The Lenovo A7-50 will be priced at an affordable $129 before taxes for the Wi-Fi only variant, and it will be available starting in May 2014. The A7-50 has a lot going for the price - it has a HD display, two-to-four times the storage capacity of most competitors in its price range, it's made from a reputable vendor, and it will run Android 4.4.

For $50 more, the Lenovo A8 bumps the specs to an 8-inch HD IPS display with 10-point multi-touch, two Dolby-enhanced front speakers, and a 4200mAh battery. Everything else stays the same as the A7-50. The A8 will also appear in May 2014, priced at $179 before taxes for the Wi-Fi only variant, and colored in Midnight Blue.

Finally, the $249 (before taxes) Lenovo A10 ups the A8's game with a 10-inch HD IPS display and a 6340mAh battery. It will be available starting May as well, colored in Midnight Blue (you would have never guessed).

So, what do you think of these three amigos?
