LG G6 Android 8.0 Oreo update starts rolling out in Europe
After running a beta program in South Korea, LG is finally pushing out Android 8.0 Oreo to the LG G6 in other regions. In a surprising turn of events, US carrier Verizon kicked off the rollout of Android 8.0 Oreo for LG G6 less than a week ago.

Starting this week, the update is rolling out across Europe but unlocked LG G6 units are the first to get the update. Portugal, Romania, and Latvia are among the first European countries to receive the update, but other that we haven't been tipped yet may get it as well.

We know that LG plans to include many of the AI features that made their debut with the V30s ThinQ, but aside from that, there should be other improvements as well, including the April security patch. Yes, for some reason LG did not include the latest security update.

Those with carrier-bounded LG G6 phones will probably have to wait a bit longer, but it looks like US consumers have been lucky enough to get it among the first, at least those with Verizon units, so there's no telling how LG will proceed in this case.
