LG G4 launches in Canada on June 19th?
A tweet from Canadian carrier WIND Mobile indicates that the LG G4 is going to be launched in Canada on June 19th. Recently, a tweet sent from a T-Mobile promotional account indicated that the new LG flagship would be available from T-Mobile starting on June 2nd. While pricing has yet to be officially announced, the hashtag #TryLGG4 social media campaign revealed that the phone would be priced off-contract at $699.99 USD.

The LG G4 features a 5.5-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 1440 x 2560. That works out to a pixel density of 538ppi. Under the hood is the 64-bit Snapdragon 808 SoC which features a hexa-core 1.8GHz CPU and the Adreno 418 GPU. 3GB of RAM is inside along with 32GB of expandable native storage. The 16MP rear camera has an aperture of f/1.8 allowing for great pictures to be snapped in low-light conditions. It also comes with OIS. The 8MP front-facing shooter takes selfies and handles video chats. A 3000mAh battery powers the whole shebang, and Android 5.0 is pre-installed.

We should be hearing more about launch dates for the LG G4 as we move toward June. In Canada, besides WIND, we should see the handset available from Telus, Rogers, Videotron, and Bell in ceramic "metallic grey" and "black" genuine leather versions.

Thanks for the tip!
