Japan gets Star Wars smartphones, envious we are
Why does Japan always get the cool bezel-less and movie-themed smartphones? Sharp is at it again, delighting local geeks with a pair of Star Wars handsets in time for the upcoming Rogue One: A Star Wars Story movie. The phones come in both Light and Dark side editions, painted white and black, respectively.

Their specs are pretty decent, too, featuring 5.3-inch, 1080p resolution screens, the Snapdragon 820 chipset with 3GB RAM, 22.6-megapixel cameras, 3000mAh batteries, 32GB of storage, and 7.6mm (0.29in) thickness. They also rock TV tuners, too!

Being Star Wars branded, Sharp's smartphones go all in on themed content with live wallpapers inspired by X-Wing and TIE fighter cockpits, skinned menus, metal figurines, a movie player app, a Star Wars card game with a free gold card pack. emoji, and ringtones. Alas, there is no lightsaber app to make wooshy sounds with.

The Star Wars smartphones will be sold by Japanese carrier SoftBank in early December. Which side do you choose?
