What makes it special?

At first glance, it’s just incredibly classy. It’s one of the very few foldables that dares to experiment with bold colors — you can choose black or white, sure. But there’s also a red version with a leather-like back, or a gold version with a fine texture that feels nice against the palm.

The hinge and closing action feels incredibly satisfying — easy top 3. And it’s one of the foldables where the crease down the middle is super minimal.

As the camera bump on the back suggests, Honor poured their camera expertise in this one as much as the slim profile allows. A 50 MP main camera, 50 MP ultra-wide, and a 64 MP 3x zoom camera are tucked in here! And, as our review noted, that zoom camera is its hidden weapon.

High-powered beast

Despite being that slim, the Honor Magic V6 manages — somehow — to keep the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 inside it firing on all cylinders. Its CPU scores rival even regular “slab” phones, and its GPU scores ensure that you can run the latest titles with no compromise.

Even more impressive, that 4.1 mm body holds a 6,660 mAh battery thanks to silicon-carbon tech. And it needs every bit of that battery to power the gorgeous 8-inch 2352 x 2172 pixel main screen.

Speaking of which, the Honor Magic V6 is loaded with an impressive amount of eye-care solutions. From the more popular blue light filters, to the more specific PWM dimming, and the innovative AI Defocus mode. The latter one introduces slight blur to background of multimedia apps, “tricking” your eyes into a relaxed “distant viewing” mode.
