Improvements found in the latest Qik update for the HTC EVO 4G
HTC EVO 4G owners have been soaking in the joy of video chatting thanks to the Qik app, but a month after its debut, there is an update available for the popular app. Settling in at version 3.54, the update boasts a host of improvements that will surely make the experience better for handset owners. Users can expect to see improved connectivity and better performance in low-quality networks to still make the experience tolerable. Additionally, it now doesn't require the SMS verification system and disables video chats being automatically archived – however, Qik mentioned that it might make a reappearance in some future version. There's no arguing that the HTC EVO 4G managed to bring the novelty of video chat into the mainstream here in the US, but thankfully Qik is doing their part in trying to make the experience compelling enough to garner continuous usage on a larger scale.
