Huawei Y9 2019 officially unveiled as “the prodigy for the new generation”
Huawei has just introduced a pretty decent specced smartphone, the Y9 2019. The first pictures of the phone leaked over the weekend, along with some of the phone's technical specifications. Taking into consideration our previous report, it looks like the phone will be launched as Huawei Enjoy 9 Plus in China, but the rest of the world will get it as Huawei Y9 2019.

Since Huawei is no stranger of the notch, it's no surprise that the Y9 2019 comes with a 6.5-inch notched LCD display with 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. More importantly, the phone is equipped with a mid-range Kirin 710 processor, coupled with either 4GB or 6GB RAM and either 64GB or 128GB internal memory.

Another selling point is the fact that it packs four cameras, two on the back (13MP+2MP) and two (16MP+2MP) on the front side, both featuring Huawei's AI photography technology. Not to mention that's it's got a massive 4,000 mAh battery inside and runs Android 8.1 Oreo right out of the box.

The official announcement mentions the Y9 2019 benefits from the Fingerprint 4.0 identification technology, which should enable users to unlock the device in just 0.3 seconds. The fingerprint sensor is positioned on the back side, below the dual camera.

Huawei says the phone is aimed at the “generation of gamers,” especially due to the “stylish colors” and “entertainment experiences” it can provide. It remains to be seen how much it will cost and when it will be available.
