Honor 7X leaks out: 18:9 screen in a very affordable phone

The Honor 7X is the newest affordable phone by Huawei off-shoot Honor, a company known for selling devices online and offering great features for a lower price than most others. And just recently, the Honor 7X has leaked out nearly entirely on Chinese regulator TENAA.

True to earlier rumors, the Honor 7X will feature a 6-inch display, but it will not be much bigger than its predecessor, the 5.5-inch Honor 6X. This will be possible thanks to a new design as the Honor 7X adopts a narrower display, with an 18:9 aspect ratio, a change from the wider 16:9 screen on the 6X. This allows the new 7X to be actually slightly narrower than the 6X, but the new phone is also noticeably taller.

The Honor 7X is expected to launch in three color versions: black, gold and blue, and as far as looks are concerned it does reminisce the iPhone 6 a lot with that back panel and prominent antenna lines.

Expect the Honor 7X to run on the EMUI skin that is a signature feature of Huawei and Honor phones, and stands out with smooth performance, but also deep customization and lots of differences from stock Android.

Honor 7X price and release date

The Honor 7X will initially be launched in China, but it's safe to assume that it will come to other countries as well. The Honor 7X price in Asia is allegedly set at $270 for the base model, while the more powerful 4GB RAM version will cost $315.
