HTC starts selling devices under its own name

HTC, the largest manufacturer of Windows Mobile phones announced today that they plan to offer their device under their own brand. Until now, the majority of the HTC phones were sold under different carrier's branding - for example Cingular 8125 or T-Mobile MDA are the HTC Wizard. The rest of the HTC device sold were under different brands such as Dopod or Qtek. 

According to the announcement, the Qtek brand will be retired and all future devices will be sold as HTCs. All old Qteks will still be supported by HTC.

The first "new" devices, carrying the HTC's brand will be the TyTN (formelly known as Hermes), and the MTeoR (formelly the Breeze).
