HTC 7 Trophy coming to Verizon in January?
A Verizon-flavored Windows Phone 7 device is widely expected to land on the carrier in the first half of 2011, but now hopes are even higher - that the launch could well be as early as January 2011. A short post by technology reporter Paul Thurott suggests that the HTC 7 Trophy might be the first to land on Verizon in January.

The handset appeared previously on a leaked promotional flyer for Microsoft employees. The flyer read that employees had until the end of December to sign up for the promotion and get their brand new handset at its roll-out in the beginning of next year. The HTC 7 Trophy is already out in Europe as a global GSM phone, but if you get it from there you will not be able to use the 3G network on T-Mobile or AT&T. Apart from that, the device seems well balanced with a 3.8-inch screen and a solid 1GHz processor.

At the same time, rumors continue to circulate about a white iPhone 4 coming as soon as the spring of 2011 to Verizon. Maybe Microsoft and HTC will try to rush things on Big Red and we will really see a Windows Phone 7 CDMA device earlier than expected. The holidays will come and go and January is right around the corner, so it might be worth the wait.
