Galaxy S6 Active now listed on Samsung's website, an official announcement could be around the corner

While the new smartphone doesn't have a web page of its own yet, it's listed among the devices that can participate in Samsung's Plus program, which "provides additional benefits to valued customers, offering you peace of mind with each Samsung device purchased."
The S6 Active is listed as a distinct device between the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge. Earlier this week, we saw several images that allegedly presented the S6 Active, showing it to look a lot like last year's Galaxy S5 Active (having a similar three-button layout on the front).
If previous rumors are to be believed, the Galaxy S6 Active should have a pretty large 3600 mAh battery inside. Naturally, the handset will be rugged and water-resistant, while also offering some of the features that we can find on the regular S6, including a Quad HD display, heart rate sensor, and an octa-core Exynos 7420 processor. AT&T will probably be the first carrier (and possibly the only US one) to sell the Galaxy S6 Active. But that remains to be confirmed.
Would you get a Galaxy S6 Active instead of a regular S6, or an S6 edge?

If I can buy a S6 with a removable battery, SD, and fingerprint scanner on Verizon or Sprint, I will buy one. No CDMA = FAIL No Fingerprint Scanner = FAIL

I have an s5 active and it's the most slippery phone I have ever used. The hard plastic around the edges has no grip.

I like the design and camo, it looks like they put a Motorola Xyboard and Samsung Galaxy S6 together. Wish it was available on every carrier. Still loving my Note 4 tho. *Besides the resent software update*

looks exactly like the S5 Active. Only the back camera and flash position resemble the S6.

Actually, it probably is using spare parts. Samsung is such a large manufacturer that I am sure they have reserves of things that they have manufactured lying around somewhere. I doubt they are refurbished though and I doubt Apple cares what Samsung sells them as long as it's cheap and they can profit from it. Manufacturing date doesn't really mean anything unless they change the manufacturing process at a later date. Either way, this S6 active sure beats the hell out of that scam iPhone 5c. At least this better than the S5 active in probably every way while the iPhone 5c is just a crappier version of the iPhone 5 for a higher price.

Hold on so you are saying, this:http://goo.gl/dpzYOX and this:http://goo.gl/BZtBTu look the same ? I understand haters are blind but you took the word 'blind haters' to a new level, my friend. That's more of a design change then in last 6 generations of apple. Design of speakers Placing of those screws (?) is different If you look closely, even the camera hump is different Not to mention the flash Even the design on edges and sides are different. Basically they have changed everything including the colour, pattern and design without moving away too much away from design language as this is a successor to GS5 Active and it should bear some resemblance to its previous iteration.
