FCC greets T-Mobile bound Samsung T679, possibly the Samsung Galaxy W
The FCC just met with the Samsung T679 whose specs match those of the Samsung Galaxy W. We can assume that both are one and the same. The device that met with the pinstriped Fed employees is heading to T-Mobile and is equipped with a 3.7 inch WVGA display. A 1.4GHz single-core processor is driving the phone with 512MB of RAM aboard. The device features a 5MP camera on back, capturing video at 720p while a .3MP front-facing camera takes self-portraits and helps you video chat. Internal memory of 4GB can be pumped up as much as 32GB using a microSD card. A 1500mAh battery powers the device.

The Samsung Galaxy W will be a mid-level device based on the Korean based manufacturers new hierarchy where Galaxy "S" devices are on top followed by those designated Galaxy "W".  As we reported, there looks to be a white version of the phone that will be available.
