One year after making its debut on the market Honor 8 is still a decent device. Let's not forget that this was in fact Honor's closest thing to a flagship, even if it shipped with Android 6.0 Marshmallow onboard.

Now, the Honor 8 costs less than $300 if you're fast enough. Newegg is running a promotion on the smartphone, which will last until the end of the day. For the first time, customers can purchase the Honor 8 for just $279, thus saving no less than $170 when they buy the phone.

The US retailer offers an initial $150 discount on the phone, but using a certain promo code will shave off another $20. We're talking about the unlocked 64GB Honor 8 model, which comes with US warranty and free 3-month screen protection.

As such, the smartphone will not be compatible with Sprint and Verizon, but you won't have any issues using it on AT&T and T-Mobile networks (since this is a GSM device).

If you haven't yet decided whether or not the handset is worthy of your attention, you can definitely check out our in-depth Honor 8 review.
