Deal: Following LG, Samsung has also slashed the price of their own Gear 360 camera
Yesterday, we reported that DailySteals was offering the LG 360 CAM at a rather heavily discounted price. The 360-degree camera normally features a retail price of $199 here in the US, but at the time of this writing, you can still pick it up for as little as $99. That's a massive savings of 50-percent, and shortly following the announcement of this deal, it looks like Samsung's 360 camera is now being sold at a cheaper price as well.

Samsung's device goes by the name of the Gear 360, and it's being reported that Amazon, Best Buy, and B&H Photo are all offering the device at a price of $299.99. The Gear 360 normally sells for $349.99, so you're looking at a total savings of $50. While saving money is always great, there are a few key differences between the LG 360 CAM and Gear 360 that you'll want to keep in mind before throwing down any of your cash.

Both cameras are capable of capturing 360-degree photos and videos, but if you want to use the Gear 360, you'll need to make sure that you're rocking a Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 edge, S6 edge+. Note 5, S7, or S7 edge. On the other hand, LG's 360 CAM works with any Android device running Lollipop 5.0 or later and any iOS-powered machine with iOS 8 or newer. If you want a full, in-depth look at the two gadgets, be sure to check out our full comparison.

There's no official word as to how long this deal will last on the Samsung Gear 360, so if it sounds like something for you, your best bet is to purchase it sooner rather than later.
