Check out these official "How to" videos for the BlackBerry KEYone

Just the other day, we passed along a video from BlackBerry showing you how to use the keyboard shortcuts on the BlackBerry KEYone handset. Of course, the video is only useful if you're planning on picking up the latest from BlackBerry. The phone, which features a gorgeous looking physical QWERTY keyboard, will launch in the U.S. on May 31st. If you're dreaming about tapping out emails, texts and social media messages on those luscious keys, you have about a month's worth of dreaming left until the real thing is in your hands.

But that doesn't mean that you can't learn as much about the device as you can, even before you buy it. BlackBerry has released a series of videos showing you how to handle certain functions. The titles include:

  • How to Switch from an Android to the BlackBerry KEYone
  • How to maximize battery life on the BlackBerry KEYone
  • How to set the BlackBerry KEYone convenience key
  • How to add or change an email account on the BlackBerry KEYone
  • What do the three dots beneath an icon on the BlackBerry KEYone mean?
  • How to take a screenshot with the BlackBerry KEYone
  • How to add or change a Google account on the BlackBerry KEYone
  • How to switch to an iPhone on the BlackBerry KEYone
  • How to quick launch the camera on the BlackBerry KEYone
  • How to install a SIM card on the BlackBerry KEYone

Releasing the videos now is a smart move by BlackBerry; even though the phone is not available at the moment in the U.S., those sitting on the fence about the device might be persuaded to buy it after watching the KEYone in action.

"How to set the BlackBerry KEYone convenience key" Samsung better learn how to be "convenient" like BB. Good job BB.

I agree, and BlackBerry learned from TCL with their Alcatel and Dtek phones last year. Boom key as it's called on Alcatel models.

@Subie Y'know, technically, it could be argued that the keyboard shortcuts on BlackBerry handsets are an accidental precursor to the convenience key.

That's definitely an intriguing way to spin it :)

Yeah, it had just occurred to me. The only difference being that the keyboard shortcuts use several keys as opposed to one key.

Samsung needs to learn a lot of things, including making a UI that isn't terribly cluttered. And their KNOX security isn't on particular with BlackBerry's security.

Just sitting here on a lazy Sunday afternoon waiting to see which BlackBerry hater will be the first to spew her garbage.

"The KEYone must be universally unlocked and priced accordingly." ;)

You'd have to have had an education in order to be able to educate.

You wouldn't know the truth if it slapped you directly in the face.

You wouldn't know the truth if it was shoved down your throat like those eggplants you love so much.

You and your personality have a fascination with choking on eggplants.

You actually are the one that chokes on eggplants, no matter what alias you use. It's like playing "dress up" to you.

72. Mxyzptlk unregistered

I guess you have to imagine eggplants when you are coming up short, literally.

If me having a footlong is coming up short, I'll take it, especially compared to your smaller than a two year old's junk.

The guilty one always projects his condition onto others. You should consider therapy.

Lol, you sure did. Props to you for the truth. He is pitiful, but I can't help but laugh at this snot-nosed kid. He is a complete glutton for punishment. I think he likes being dominated by us. It turns him on and makes him feel loved, lol.
