Check out Samsung's television ad for the Gear VR
Samsung has produced a television commercial for the Gear VR. The virtual reality device works with the high-end Samsung Galaxy handsets. Those are models like the Samsung Galaxy S6, Samsung Galaxy S6 edge, Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ and the Samsung Galaxy Note 5. The commercial shows how simple Gear VR is to use.

Of course, with the holiday shopping season kicking off this Friday, now is the perfect time for Samsung to start pushing the VR Gear. Priced at $99.99, it isn't too far out of reach for those shopping for a cool and unique accessory for the Samsung Galaxy owner on their shopping list. It also is a great gift to give yourself.

The device just launched in the U.S. this past Friday, and can be purchased directly from Samsung (click on the sourcelink). Shipping is free through the end of this month, and orders ship in seven to ten business days.

Want to escape to another place and be totally immersed in another world? The Gear VR can do that for you. Click on the video below, to see Gear VR in action.

I bought mine from Amazon 2 weeks ago since I'm a Prime member (free shipping). I was hoping they'd get them on the day they were released (November 20th) and them ship them out that same day but I was wrong. I still haven't received an email saying my item has shipped so it might not be sold out on Amazon yet. Like jorgy said though...order from Samsung.com since they have free shipping until the 30th.

Compare this sub-100$ awesome gear VR to the monstrous 200$ Samsung was charging last year for a lower grade gear VR which worked with only one phone and you know how much they were milking people.

I'm a bit disappointed that it doesn't support the note 4 which was the phone that came with support for VR first last year. I get why they've done it though, it's just a bit of a shame.
