Canadian carrier slashes the contract price of the BlackBerry Priv by 38%
While BlackBerry CEO John Chen recently hinted that the company will reduce the price of the Android powered BlackBerry Priv in February, one Canadian carrier has already beaten the company to the punch. For a limited time, SaskTel is dropping the two-year contract price of the phone by 38% to $249.99 CAD ($181.08 USD). That is a price cut of $150 CAD ($109 USD).

While the deal is available both in the physical stores and online, currently there is no more inventory of the slider earmarked for the carrier's website. We don't know if there are plans to restock, but the deal is still available from SaskTel's retail locations.

The BlackBerry Priv is available unlocked from BlackBerry for $699.99 USD. In the U.S., the phone is currently an AT&T exclusive where it is offered for $249.99 USD with a signed two-year pact. The full retail price is $739.99 USD. We do know that the phone will be coming to Verizon as soon as AT&T's exclusivity ends. Big Red has already tweeted that the phone is coming, and the Verizon version of the Priv recently cleared the FCC.
