The just introduced BlackBerry Torch has made an appearance over at Walmart's web site. The discount retailer doesn't have a precise date of availability as the page simply says that the phone is due to launch in August 2010. Tuesday, we reported that AT&T would be launching the phone on August 12th, one week from today, at a price of $199.99 with a 2 year contract. On the Walmart site, there is a link that you can click to have your e-mail registered so you can receive a notice when the Torch will be available at the discounter. No pricing information was posted on the site. Despite rather sloppy and unorganized displays in the electronics section, Walmart has been trying to build a cellphone department, carrying most of the high profile releases including the Apple iPhone 4, Motorola DROID X and the EVO 4G.
