Apple's WWDC 2019 starts June 3rd; expect iOS 13 complete with Dark Mode!
Thirty years after the original WWDC developers conference was held, Apple has announced that the next annual edition of its event will kick off June 3rd and end on June 7th. Like the previous two years, it’ll be held at the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, California.

Apple’s tagline for this year’s event is “Write code. Blow minds.” The main focus of the company’s announcements should be the next version of its mobile operating system, iOS 13. Rumor has it that Apple will be introducing a number of big design changes, in addition to various iPad-centric features. The next version of iOS should also include a dedicated Dark Mode, as visualized in the concept render below.

At the event, Apple is also expected to announce its version of universal apps. This should help bring both iPhone and iPad apps to its Mac laptops and computers. Other software announcements should include the latest versions of watchOS, tvOS, and macOS.

As for hardware, very little is expected from Apple at this year’s WWDC. However, it’s possible that a new 10.5-inch iPad will be announced at the event. The company could also announce AirPower and AirPods 2 if they don’t make an appearance this month.

Developers interested in WWDC can apply for tickets through Apple's official website. The company will pick attendees by "random selection" but beware that tickets cost $1,599. Registration for the event closes March 20th at 5 PM PT /8 PM ET.
