AT&T HTC One owners can now download HTC Backup via Google Play

Since you're reading this post, then you probably own an HTC One from AT&T. Well, let us tell you about a neat app that you should probably check out – HTC Backup. As the name suggests, it lets you make a safe copy of your stuff in case the handset kicks the bucket prematurely. All files are stored securely in the cloud space provided courtesy of Dropbox.

HTC Backup is present on other HTC One models, but AT&T decided to pass on it for some reason. Yet several days ago, HTC launched a standalone version of the app via Google Play, available to HTC One owners who don't have it pre-installed on their handsets. Data that's safe with HTC Backup includes your home screen layout, Sense TV remotes and viewing preferences, social networking accounts, email passwords, alarms, bookmarks, and more. Photos and videos aren't backed up as that's something handled by Dropbox itself with its automatic camera upload feature.

You can get the HTC Backup app for HTC One by following the link below. The application is available free of charge.
