Which phone is better?
Samsung Galaxy S2 Plus or Sony Xperia S?
Things to be considered:
1. Fast YouTube streaming
2. Good Gaming Experience.
3. Battery Life

It's better for you to go for the newer Xperia phones. Xperia S has a lot of bugs that are yet to be fixed. I highly suggest you the Xperia SP. If not, the Xperia L will suit you too. S2 Plus is even more laggy than the standard S2 just because Samsung updated to a very laggy and storage-consuming UI but not the hardware inside. Basically, if you're using the newest samsung UI and you don't have at least Dual core 1.5 GHz, don't expect smooth gaming at all. Xperia SP is the phone to get. First of all, it has a better screen with denser pixels and more realistic colors. Super AMOLED does beat the traditional TFT screen by some aspects, but traditional TFT uses less battery and doesn't make much a difference in viewing experience. AMOLED is said to last a lot shorter (Pixel deaths) than TFT. Dual core 1.7 GHz for the Xperia SP. 1.5 Dual too for the S, and 1.2 dual for the samsung s2 plus. It's better to get a faster CPU. That makes tons of difference. Fast Youtube streaming heavily depends on the internet connection. If you are willing to pay for 4G the Xperia SP supports it. But the Xperia L and the S2 plus does not. I've found LTE very useful in Youtube in my Xperia Z. Tons faster. And remember, you can stream HD with LTE. So go for the Xperia SP. The Xperia S is not a bad choice for your requirements. Higher clock speed in CPUs are the key to smooth gaming. Hope this helps.
